Like what if we had some state authority (that way it cannot be stolen) print out crypto vouchers. 0.1 bitcoin, 1 bitcoin, 10 bitcoin, 100 bitcoin etc. Then we could use them to trade in daily life at stores and such. We could even set up physical broker buildings where you can store your crypto vouchers and keep them safe.
This bypasses the need for using digital crypto and keeps it safe from hackers. But, if you still want to use crypto digitally, we could have digital crypto balances stored in some sort of chip that you can scan at stores as long as you store the chip correctly. Maybe in a chip pouch? You could even have a code on it for online shopping verification.
