I wanted to rotate my BTC keys and made a post (https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1phbgrk/generating\_and\_storing\_a\_btc\_private\_key/) but that seemed a bit too complex. People also suggested that 2/3-multisig is better approach than to split a single seed.
My current plan is:
There are a few goals to achieve:
- Redundancy
- Plausible Deniability against Wrench Attacks
- Simplicity
- Robustness against idiosyncratic failures of individual hardware or software
Seed-Generation:
3 Devices: 1) Nano Ledger S, 2) Trezor 3) Coldcard MK4 (Dice Rolls)
All three locations store the multisig descriptor.
Store each device with their raw seed (cryptosteel) in three physically different locations.
Wdyt?
